Position Overview
De Luca’s Specialty Foods is seeking a Production Coffee Roaster to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about coffee, quality production, and craftsmanship. The successful candidate will be responsible for roasting, monitoring, and packaging coffee to ensure consistent quality and supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial coffee roasting equipment with precision and consistency
- Measure, load, and monitor green coffee beans during roasting cycles
- Adjust roasting profiles to maintain flavour standards and product quality
- Package roasted coffee for retail and wholesale distribution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the roasting and production area
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of roasting equipment
- Monitor inventory levels of green beans and production materials
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
- Assist with order fulfillment and general production tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Interest or experience in coffee roasting, food production, or manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Food safety certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
