JOB DESCRIPTION
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional to join a progressive organization with strong values, a positive corporate culture, and ethical business practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing a designated sales territory, with a focus on growing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities in alignment with corporate strategies and objectives. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets through strategic sales execution
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective sales strategies for assigned clients
- Drive additional revenue growth by expanding business within existing accounts
- Identify service gaps and performance shortfalls to uncover new sales opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the sales team and management to consistently exceed client expectations
- Prospect new leads, generate new business, and build strong relationships with prospective clients
- Develop customized, client-focused solutions and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process
- Maintain accurate reporting and analysis of your sales portfolio, including CRM data entry and ongoing management of the sales/prospect pipeline (weekly reporting required)
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Negotiate pricing with carriers and clients within management-approved guidelines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of proven sales experience
- Experience in logistics or logistics sales is considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated ability to perform needs assessments and tailor solutions to customer-specific requirements
- Experience developing, presenting, and closing customized sales solutions
- Customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and goal-oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and manage the full sales cycle
- Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on approach to sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; high Excel skills are an asset
- Valid driver’s license required for outbound client meetings
