We are currently seeking an experienced Glazing Foreman to lead field operations, support installation crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
Position Overview
The Glazing Foreman is responsible for organizing daily site activities, leading morning meetings, conducting site visits, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting crews with on-site problem solving. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and working knowledge of project coordination software. The ideal candidate is a skilled journeyman glazier with strong leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple active projects efficiently using modern project management software.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate daily field operations
- Lead daily morning safety and production meetings
- Conduct regular site visits across residential and commercial projects
- Ensure all work complies with company and regulatory health & safety standards
- Identify and resolve on-site challenges efficiently
- Support installation teams with hands-on assistance when required
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and crew members
- Utilize software tools including G-Suite, Jobber, and other job management platforms
- Assist with basic project management tasks such as scheduling, tracking progress, and finacial reporting
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Certificate (Glazier or related trade)
- Minimum 5+ years managing a team
- 5+ years commercial glazing stystems installation experience such as: curtain wall and storefront installation and layout, door serivce
- 3+ years residential glazing installation experiense with extensive knowledge of residental glazing such as: heavy shower enclosures, stand off railing systems, sealed units, windows and doors
- Valid Fall Arrest Certification
- Valid Aerial Platform Certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
- First Aid Certification
- Formal safety training experience
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior team members
- Additional project management training
