Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation and repair, with a strong understanding of various construction techniques and safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial roofing, utilizing a wide range of skills including blueprint reading, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Measure and cut materials precisely for various roofing projects
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and energy efficiency
- Perform concrete forming, masonry, or restoration work as needed for roofing structures
- Assist with construction estimating and material ordering to meet project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning roofing materials
- Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or masonry teams during project execution
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair is required
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Background in related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, welding, or flooring installation is advantageous
- Familiarity with caulking, tile laying, electrical experience, or concrete finishing is a plus
- Prior experience with restoration projects or cabinet installation is beneficial
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of safety procedures within construction environments
