Summary
Standard Auto Wreckers is seeking a reliable, motivated, and detailed-orientated Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout our facility. The successful candidate will responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of office spaces, employee common areas, washrooms, entrances, and warehouse areas to ensure a professional and sanitary workplace for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep and maintain all building entrances.
- Sweep and mop entranceways and office floors.
- Clean, sanitize and restock all washrooms
- Clean and sanitize lunchroom tables, countertops, and other shared surfaces.
- Sweep and maintain lunchroom floors.
- Empty lunchroom garbage and keep the area neat and organized.
- Empty office garbage and recycling bins throughout the facility.
- Operate a floor sweeper to clean warehouse floors.
- Collect and recycle cardboard and other designated recyclable materials.
- Restock cleaning supplies and organize the cleaning cart at the end of each shift.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report items requiring replenishment.
- Respond to additional cleaning requests as directed by management.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional, positive attitude while working independently and as part of the team.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and carrying cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Forklift experience an asset
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse and industrial environment.
- WHMIS knowledge is an asset.
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
