Details:
This position is based near Leduc, AB. This is a project-based position, with a 24 Days on - 4 days off rotation schedule, 12 Hour Shifts, 7 days a week
No LOA is provided for this project
Duties:
This position will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:
- Operate the Scraper in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade, following markings on grade stakes or hand signals.
- Experience with Push Cat Process
- Experience with cut fill and lot grading of Scraper
- Long Pull Type of Scraper must be able to manoeuvre in small areas
- Ensure scraper is in proper gear and is not moving too fast for working conditions.
- Capable of operating Pull Scraper behind the Rock Truck
- Must have proven ability to work in congested areas
- Experience Operating 40t Articulating Truck with pull behind Pull Scraper
- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carry out minor maintenance and inspection for equipment and reporting any deficiencies.
- Ability to work as a team and take direction.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Possess 1+ years experience.
- Must pass a competency test on specified equipment.
- Experience operating different heavy equipment is considered an asset.
- Must Have a Valid class 5 driver’s license
