We are currently looking for a Production Labourer in our Woodstock GRANITE & QUARTZ fabrication facility, required to operate a variety of hand and power tools and machinery. The Production Labourer will be responsible for the efficient fabrication of granite, quartz and other stone products according to established procedures, following all safety and workplace policies.

Job Duties
- Clean and prepare work area
- Monitor and maintain machines to ensure proper operation
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and machines
- Adjust and operate machines safely and efficiently to fabricate products to specifications
- Use measuring tools, check each part before and after machining
- Load, unload, identify material and distribute to the appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications
- Operate overhead cranes, vacuum lifters, forklifts
- Work independently and as a team member
- Communicate with supervisor/team leader to ensure product meets required quality standards
- Perform all tasks in a safe, responsible and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as defined by Supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and material handling procedures
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills
- Time management skills
- Critical eye for identifying defects

- Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current
- Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 80 lbs assisted, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor
- Experienced operating overhead crane and/or forklift is an asset
Work Conditions
- Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet is required
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, safety boots, etc.)
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects properly to avoid injury
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
- Noise level is generally loud
- Excellent stamina is required as job is VERY physical
