Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Manager located in Brampton, Ontario. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for developing and managing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices. Key responsibilities include supplier relationship management, inventory control, procurement planning, and ensuring timely acquisition of materials and equipment to meet production schedules. The role also involves evaluating vendor performance, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to align procurement processes with business objectives is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, and Inventory Control
- Strong Negotiation, Problem-Solving, and Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Management
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Logistics
- Proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Communication, Collaboration, and Leadership Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (required); MBA or certifications like CPM or CPSM (preferred)
- Familiarity with manufacturing industry procurement processes is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
