Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our re-manufacturing facility in Sparwood, BC. As a Tire Retread Technician, you’ll play a key role in extending the life of commercial tires through the retreading process, helping reduce waste and support our commitment to sustainability. You’ll be part of a close-knit production team that values precision, safety, and teamwork.

You’ll work in a manufacturing environment that can be warm, noisy, and fast-paced.

You’ll be on your feet most of the day, using hand tools and machines to inspect, buff, and prepare tires for retreading.

The work is repetitive but methodical, requiring patience and a strong attention to detail.

You’ll wear protective gear (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots) and follow strict safety procedures.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to meet daily production goals.
Training & Onboarding:
We know the first few months are crucial, that’s why we provide:

Paid training, covering retread operations.

Skill progression, you’ll start with tire inspection and preparation before advancing to full retreading.

Clear expectations and feedback at each stage of your training.
Total Earnings:

$27.00+/hr days (including guaranteed bonus)

$29.00+/hr overnights (includes shift premium)
What’s Included:

Base wage: $24.31/hr as per the collective agreement

Guaranteed bonus: $500+ per month

Night shift premium: $2.00+/hr

Schedule:

12 hours shifts 7 days on 7 days off
