Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Maintenance Specialist to ensure the smooth operation and functionality of our IT systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain optimal system performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to IT maintenance and support.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize disruptions and downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance on hardware, software, printers, scanners, phone systems, and network infrastructure to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software components following established procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT partners to implement and support IT initiatives, projects, upgrades, and system improvements.
- Monitor system performance and security, identifying vulnerabilities and reporting issues to Empyrion as required.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, inventory, maintenance activities, and system documentation.
- Provide technical support and assistance to employees, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Organize and manage hardware and software assets in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Support operational requirements by printing labels and communicating with customers regarding co-packing labels.
- Assist with supplies inventory management, label ordering, warehouse management, and provide backup support for Supplies Procurement when required.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of all printers and establish preventative maintenance programs.
- Assist the Maintenance Department with preventative maintenance programs for production equipment as needed.
- Perform routine security checks, including scanning for hidden devices three times per week.
- Conduct weekly camera inspections to ensure proper operation and visibility, recommending repairs or upgrades when necessary.
- Perform tiechnical maintenance production equipment.
- Create, update, and maintain SAP and Excel reports for various departments.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and IT best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical users.
- Strong technical background in IT maintenance, repair, and support.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a professional environment.
- Knowledge of IT principles, practices, and tools to maintain data integrity and system reliability.
- Experience with system administration tasks including user account management, permissions, and backups.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and work within company policies, procedures, and established practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business software systems.
- Experience with SAP reporting and data management is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments to support business operations.
Pay: $23.19-$27.45 per hour
