Job Summary
Paragon Designs is a fast-growing event printing and production company specializing in custom dance floors, welcome signs, seating charts, backdrops, wall graphics, vinyl installations, branded displays and other large-format printed products.
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with 2+ years of experience to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys seeing their designs go beyond the computer screen and become finished, large-scale products used at weddings, corporate events and special occasions.
What You’ll Do
- Create custom designs for event signage, dance floors, seating charts, welcome signs, backdrops and other printed products
- Prepare client artwork for large-format printing, cutting and production
- Create accurate print-ready files with proper dimensions, bleed, colour settings and resolution
- Review customer-supplied files and make adjustments when required
- Design client proofs and revise artwork based on feedback
- Set up cut paths, contour-cut files and production-ready artwork
- Check spelling, sizing, alignment and image quality before files are released to production
- Work closely with the administration and production teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
- Organize project files using consistent naming and folder structures
- Manage multiple projects while meeting fast-moving event deadlines
- Assist with creative concepts, mockups and internal design projects when needed
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Experience designing for print, signage or large-format production
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of CMYK colour, bleed, resolution, vector artwork and print-file preparation
- Strong attention to detail, especially with measurements, spelling and alignment
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and client instructions
- Ability to manage several projects and revisions at the same time
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a small team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe InDesign
- Experience preparing files for CNC or flatbed digital cutting
- Familiarity with registration marks, contour-cut paths, bleeds and large-format printing
- Experience working with RasterLink, Mimaki equipment, Onyx or similar print-production softwares
- Experience designing for weddings, events, retail displays or corporate graphics
- Photography, video editing or social media design experience is an asset

- Artwork is properly sized and prepared before printing or cutting
- Deadlines are carefully tracked and communicated
- Files are organized so that other team members can quickly locate and understand them
