Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Saw Operator / Plasma Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various cutting and machining equipment, ensuring precise fabrication of metal components. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with CNC machinery, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate plasma cutting machines, CNC lasers, and Band Saw to accurately cut and shape materials according to specifications.
- Program CNC equipment using blueprint reading and basic math skills to ensure precise cuts and dimensions.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality inspection and verification of finished parts.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine cutting patterns, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Use mechanical knowledge to assemble components as needed, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely when handling heavy materials or finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience operating plasma cutters, Saw tables, or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, machining processes, welding, blueprint reading, and quality inspection is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, calipers, and basic math calculations is essential.
- Prior background in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments will be advantageous. Pay: From $24.00 per hour
