About the Clinic
Nova Thera Wellness is a purpose-built, 4,030 sq ft integrated medical aesthetics and wellness destination in Woodbridge, Ontario. Medical dermatology is a cornerstone of our clinical offering, bridging regulated skin health services with our broader aesthetics, longevity, and preventative wellness programs.
Role Overview
As our Dermatologist, you will provide regulated medical dermatology services within a modern, multidisciplinary integrative clinic. You will work alongside nurse practitioners, medical aestheticians, and wellness practitioners to deliver a continuum of skin health care — from clinical diagnosis and treatment to prevention and aesthetic optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Dermatology
- Conduct comprehensive dermatological assessments: full skin examination, lesion analysis, and diagnosis
- Diagnose and treat a range of skin conditions: acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, pigmentation disorders, and skin cancer screening
- Perform dermatological procedures: skin biopsies, cryotherapy, surgical excisions, dermoscopy, and photodynamic therapy
- Prescribe medications, topical therapies, and systemic treatments within full physician scope
- Order and interpret relevant investigations: pathology, allergy panels, hormonal and metabolic labs
Aesthetics & Longevity Integration
- Collaborate with the clinic's medical aesthetics team (NP, aestheticians, laser technicians) on integrated skin treatment plans
- Provide clinical oversight and consultation for advanced laser, light therapy, and cosmetic dermatology services
- Develop anti-aging skin health programs combining medical dermatology with nutraceuticals and IV therapy protocols
- Consult on complex skin presentations referred by the NP, ND, or aesthetics team
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in Jane App EMR
- Adhere to all CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) standards and professional practice guidelines
- Maintain OHIP billing compliance for insured services; advise clinic on billing structure for uninsured services
- Participate in monthly multidisciplinary clinical review sessions
QualificationsRequired
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- FRCPC Certification in Dermatology (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)
- Active OHIP billing number and eligibility to practice dermatology in Ontario
- MD degree from a recognized Canadian or international medical school with full Ontario recognition
- Current CPR/AED certification (minimum)
- Clear criminal background check
Preferred (Strong Asset)
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in cosmetic dermatology, dermatologic surgery, or skin oncology
- Experience with laser and light-based devices (IPL, fractional lasers, CO2, Q-switched lasers)
- Interest in integrative dermatology, nutraceutical skin health, or longevity medicine
- Familiarity with Jane App EMR or equivalent electronic health records
- Bilingual (English + French, Arabic, or Punjabi) is an advantage given local community demographics
Pay: $150,000.00-$250,000.00 per year
