Wok Cook / Line Cook

Position Type
- Full-time / Part-time available
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation
- Prepare ingredients daily according to restaurant standards and recipes
- Wash, cut, portion, marinate, and organize meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces
- Ensure all prep items are properly labeled, dated, and stored
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to kitchen management
Sauce & Recipe Preparation
- Prepare house sauces, broths, marinades, and seasonings following standardized recipes
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Follow recipe specifications accurately to ensure food quality standards
Wok Cooking
- Operate wok station efficiently during service hours
- Cook menu items according to Manzo recipes and plating standards
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining food quality and timing
- Maintain proper wok temperatures and cooking techniques
Deep Fryer Operations
- Operate deep fryer safely and efficiently
- Prepare fried items with proper timing, texture, and presentation
- Filter and maintain fryer oil quality regularly
- Follow food safety procedures when handling hot oil and equipment
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation at all times
- Follow health, sanitation, and food safety regulations
- Assist team members during busy service periods
- Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment and tools
- Support opening and closing kitchen duties
Requirements & QualificationsExperience
- Previous experience in Japanese restaurant, Asian kitchen, wok cooking, or line cooking preferred
- Experience using wok burners and deep fryers is an asset
- Understanding of kitchen workflow and high-volume service
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable working in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
