We are looking for a qualified, experienced and caring Caregiver for my elderly mother with Parkinson’s and Dementia. This home is an animal friendly home with 2 indoor cats. This will be a full time role, three 12 hour night shifts per week, on a rotating schedule. We are flexible.
Duties required, but not limited to; Personal Hygiene, dress assist, interaction and engagement, daily exercise and stretching, continence management, daily recordings of vitals, laundry, animal care, meal preparation and service, and house cleaning. Daily meal planning and preparation.
My home is on a large farm, near Okotoks, in Aldersyde, in a beautiful setting with lots of amenities close by. You must;
- Must have an HCA certification
- Active and current registration with CLHA required
- Previous experience with Parkinson’s disease and Dementia care
- Updated first aide training (including CPR)
- Speak and understand fluent English, and have excellent communication skills
- Have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Have access to your own vehicle
- Present a clean police background check and positive reference checks
- Be caring and patient with a positive demeanor
- Pay is negotiable based on experience
