Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stucco Plasterer Helper to join our construction team. This role involves assisting skilled plasterers with various tasks related to stucco application and finishing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and some experience in construction-related activities. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and mixing of stucco materials according to project specifications
- Support plasterers in applying stucco to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Help with surface preparation, including cleaning and caulking as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements
- Perform basic carpentry tasks related to framing or formwork for stucco application
- Use hand tools safely and effectively during various stages of construction
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Assist with other handyman tasks such as minor repairs or touch-ups as directed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction painting, carpentry, or general handyman work is preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is a plus
- Familiarity with caulking and surface preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work well within a team environment and adapt to changing project needs
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices is desirable
