Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor / Consultant to join our fast-paced dealership team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and transparently
- Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating and service writing software
- Upsell additional maintenance or repairs that enhance vehicle safety and performance while respecting customer budgets
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, customer interactions, and work orders
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive service management
- Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repairs across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, alignments, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes
- Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes and tire services
