Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport cereal grains, silage, hay, straw, manure, compost, dirt, and gravel in the Picture Butte area. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience working with farm equipment including loaders and augers as well as operate a variety of class 1 configurations including super B trailers, bale trailers, end dumps, tri-drives, tractors, spreaders, and tandems. This position offers flexibility during winter months to work reduced hours or other non-driving tasks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently between designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Load and product using loaders and augers.
- Perform basic repairs or troubleshooting to maintain vehicle operational readiness
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs as needed
- Keep trucks and equipment clean and in good working condition
- Complete load delivery paperwork
- Report hazards, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately
- Operate vehicles safely in varying weather, road, and site conditions
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- Experience in operating super B trailers, bale trailers, end dumps, tri-drives, tractors, spreaders, and tandems
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of loading machinery, including augers and loaders.
- Excellent situational awareness and problem-solving ability
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
