Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, home care, and assisted living environments. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, medical terminology, and patient-centered care. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes and deliver personalized treatment plans. Experience with electronic health records such as Epic and Cerner is preferred, along with a background in acute care, pediatrics, senior care, or dementia care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by monitoring vital signs and conducting comprehensive examinations
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and safety protocols
- Document patient information meticulously using electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Provide patient education on health management, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions
- Assist with laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
- Manage case coordination for patients requiring specialized services such as pain management or chronic disease support
- Support patients across various age groups including pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with dementia or special needs
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and nursing best practices
- Experience in hospital settings, acute care, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Skilled in pain management, case management, and patient education techniques
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children, seniors, and individuals with special needs
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and specimen handling
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients effectively
- Compassionate bedside manner with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments and prioritize tasks efficiently
