Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly accountable Senior Cleaner to support our growing cleaning team. This role may include residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, post-construction cleaning, one-time cleanings, and supporting team members on assigned jobs. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality results, maintaining professional standards, and helping ensure each cleaning assignment is completed thoroughly, efficiently, and to company expectations. This role offers an opportunity to lead cleaning efforts in various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine and detailed cleaning tasks in residential, commercial, post-construction, and one-time cleaning assignments.
· Lead by example by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, professionalism, and reliability on every assignment.
· Use appropriate cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment safely and effectively to meet company and client expectations.
· Support cleaning team members by providing guidance, direction, and clarification when needed during assigned jobs.
· Ensure cleaning checklists are created and followed, completed accurately, and submitted or communicated as required.
· Conduct follow-ups during or after assignments to confirm work is completed properly and any outstanding items are addressed.
· Complete quality checks to ensure cleaning standards are met before leaving the job site.
· Monitor, organize, and take responsibility for cleaning supplies, including reporting shortages, restocking needs, damaged tools, or missing items.
· Communicate promptly and professionally with management regarding completed work, delays, concerns, damages, client requests, supply needs, or safety issues.
· Follow all company procedures, safety protocols, client instructions, and cleaning processes without needing constant supervision.
· Be available, when needed, to help cover shifts due to staffing shortages, schedule changes, or operational needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Previous cleaning experience is required, including residential, commercial, custodial, post-construction, or related cleaning experience.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and client satisfaction.
· Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support other team members when required.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, complete assignments efficiently, and stay organized throughout the day.
· Familiarity with cleaning techniques, products, tools, equipment, and safe handling practices is required.
· Training employees on processes or procedures.
· Advanced English communication skills are required.
· Valid driver’s licence and insured vehicle are required, with at least 3 years of driving experience in Manitoba. Mileage will be discussed.
· Valid car insurance must be maintained while employed in this role.
· Current Criminal Record Check is required.
High Emphasis: Accountability and Quality
· Accountability is a key requirement for this role. The Senior Cleaner is expected to take ownership of assigned work, team support, completed checklists, supply readiness, and the overall quality of each cleaning assignment.
· Arrive on time, be prepared for each shift, and communicate promptly if there are delays, concerns, schedule changes, or job-site issues.
· Ensure cleaning checklists are followed carefully and completed honestly, accurately, and consistently.
· Complete follow-ups with team members or management when tasks are incomplete, unclear, delayed, or require additional attention.
· Perform quality checks before leaving each assignment to confirm that work meets company standards and client expectations.
· Report completed work, damages, supply needs, safety concerns, client requests, and any issues honestly and promptly.
· Maintain professionalism, respect client property, and demonstrate reliability, leadership, and pride in every assignment.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
