Job Overview
We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Sea & Air Operations Specialist to join our Toronto team. This role requires proficiency in both sea and air freight operations, along with strong financial awareness and local logistics dispatching capabilities. You will serve as the core hub connecting clients, carriers, and customs clearance processes. Prior hands-on experience with Amazon FBA logistics operations is a strict requirement for this position.
Core Responsibilities
- Amazon FBA Logistics : Oversee and manage Amazon FBA inbound operations, including container stripping, sorting, labeling, palletizing, FBA appointments via Carrier Central, and final-mile e-commerce delivery solutions.
- Multimodal Operations: Manage the full-process import and export operations for Ocean Freight and Air Freight to meet diverse client needs.
- End-to-End Coordination: Liaise with steamship lines and airlines for booking and cargo control; coordinate with Canadian Customs Brokers to complete CBSA clearance procedures (including eManifest/ACI tracking).
- Financial Settlement: Handle billing and invoicing, arrange payments to carriers/vendors, and proactively follow up on payment confirmations from clients.
- Cargo Release: Oversee the Cargo Release process once payments, OBL/HBL, and documentation are verified as accurate.
- Local Dispatch: Arrange and schedule local trucking to ensure the efficient flow of goods between Canadian ports, warehouses, and clients.
- Communication Link: Maintain bilingual communication (Chinese/English) to ensure seamless information flow between overseas shippers, local consignees, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Minimum 1 years of proven experience in international logistics or freight forwarding operations; deep familiarity with standard ocean and air freight processes.
- Amazon Logistics Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience with Amazon FBA logistics, e-commerce supply chains, and warehousing operations.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin); capable of professional English email correspondence and using industry terminology while communicating effectively with local carriers and overseas partners.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word). Experience with logistics ERP systems is preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Exceptionally detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility; capability to handle logistics emergencies and work effectively within a team.
- Work Authorization: Must have valid legal work authorization in Canada.
