NOW HIRING – Florist
Position Summary:
Galbraith Florists is seeking an experienced, full-time Florist to join our team. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and physically demanding. While floral design is creative and rewarding, it also requires stamina, reliability, and the ability to perform under pressure in a production-based environment.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and understands the discipline required in a professional floral shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, attentive customer service
- Participate in client consultations, including wedding work
- Process flowers and care for plants daily
- Design and assemble floral arrangements for a variety of budgets and occasions
- Maintain freshness and presentation of displays
- Prepare orders accurately and efficiently for pickup and delivery
- Make floral deliveries as required
- Lift, move, and organize floral product, buckets, and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues, and clients
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines
- Take initiative and adapt to changing priorities
- Perform other duties as required by management
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional floral industry experience (required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Clean driving record
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to lift and carry floral product and supplies
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required
