Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role is vital in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operation at our food service counter. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices are highly valued. Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Take customer orders efficiently, providing friendly service while upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, giving correct change and managing cash register operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Assist with food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
