Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscaper/Labourer to join our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves performing various landscaping and construction tasks to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, gardening, and landscape maintenance, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to beautifying residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, mulching, and sod laying
- Operate machinery such as excavators and power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform irrigation system installation and maintenance
- Use hand tools and power tools for trimming, pruning, edging, and general landscaping tasks
- Maintain and repair garden beds, lawns, and hardscapes
- Support construction projects related to landscape features such as patios or retaining walls
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and preparation for projects
- Follow safety protocols at all times during outdoor work activities
Requirements
- Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with excavation machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and repair is desirable
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and construction processes
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior construction experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
