We are a growing family doctor office and walk-in clinic providing primary health services. We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Front desk receptionist to join our team. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, providing patient support, and assisting with the smooth daily operation of the clinic. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a passion for providing excellent patient care. We proudly serve a diverse community in Vancouver and value clear, respectful communication with patients from a variety of backgrounds. Multilingual abilities, including Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese, are considered an asset but are not required.
Responsibilities Can Include:
- Front Desk Operations:
- Greet patients, provide assistance at the front desk, and ensure a welcoming, professional environment.
- Handle multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, confirm bookings, and address patient inquiries.
- Checking patients in when they arrive to their appointment.
- Confirming demographics.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Manage incoming forms by scanning and faxing to appropreiate locations.
- Process incoming forms, ensuring documents are scanned and faxed to the correct recipients.
- Manage patient payments and maintain accurate chart documentation to reflect all financial transactions
Qualifications:
- Medical office experience, including front desk and administrative roles in a healthcare setting is an asset but not required.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and appointment scheduling software is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and medical terminology.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when managing patient records and documents.
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance procedures is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
- Customer service orientation, with a friendly, compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to communicate in Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Japanese is considered an asset but is not required.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.85-$20.00 per hour
