Position Summary
Luso Canadian Charitable Centres is seeking a Supervisor, Respite Services to lead the delivery of its Toronto-based short-term respite program. This role is responsible for overseeing program operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred supports for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and providing leadership to staff while supporting families and caregivers.

Schedule
- Condensed 4-day work week
- Permanent weekend shifts required (Saturday and Sunday)
- Flexibility required for evenings and extended hours as needed
- On-call responsibilities as required
Reporting To
Associate Director of Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Toronto short-term respite program
- Coordinate intake, scheduling, and service delivery
- Supervise, support, and evaluate respite staff
- Develop staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage
- Monitor program quality, utilization, and participant outcomes
- Act as escalation point for participants, caregivers, and staff
- Ensure adherence to Ministry guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Oversee incident reporting, documentation, and follow-up
- Maintain staff training compliance (First Aid, safety protocols, etc.)
- Track program data and prepare internal reports
- Support budget tracking and resource planning
- Collaborate with internal teams and leadership
- Assist with direct support responsibilities as required, working alongside staff to ensure high-quality participant care
Qualifications & Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Social Services or related field
- 3-5+ years experience in developmental services, respite, or community programming
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Ontario developmental services sector
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, and program oversight
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
