Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in providing excellent food service. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety regulations
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Restock supplies and ensure all necessary ingredients are available for meal service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
