What you will be doing:
As a Steward at Carmen's Group, you'll play an essential role in keeping our kitchen operating safely, efficiently, and at the highest standards of cleanliness. As a valued member of our culinary team, your commitment to organization, sanitation, and teamwork helps create the foundation for exceptional dining experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, kitchen tools, and food preparation equipment using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed

Ensuring all cleaned items are properly dried, organized, and returned to their designated storage areas
-
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing workstations, walls, and equipment

Monitoring dishwashing supplies and reporting low inventory, damaged items, or equipment concerns to the Executive Chef

Following all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals

Supporting the culinary team by keeping dish stations, storage areas, and kitchen floors clean and well organized

Removing waste and recycling in accordance with health and cleanliness standards

Communicating effectively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient daily operations
-
Taking direction from the Executive Chef while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment

Performing other duties as required to support the overall success of kitchen operations
Your Ingredients to Success

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and part of a team with minimal supervision

Adaptable to changes in workflow or requirements

Previous cleaning / dishwashing experience an asset

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs

Reliable transportation required

Flexible availability required, including availability to work closing shifts as late as 2am on weekends
