Atlantic Ex-Works is a thriving International Freight and Transportation Service company, specializing in customs brokerage, supply chain management, and 3PL services. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to contribute to our continuous growth.
**Job Title: Logistics Coordinator**
**Responsibilities:**
- Efficiently manage the transportation of freight via air, sea, or land, including quoting, coordinating, distributing documentation, tracking shipments, providing timely updates to clients, and managing invoicing.
- Skillfully negotiate and prepare rate and cost estimates for our clients.
- Process all documentation in adherence to customer criteria and generate invoices for services rendered.
- Proactively identify opportunities for enhanced service, address client issues and concerns by escalating them to the manager.
- Provide excellent customer service through seamless coordination of customer needs.
- Issue instructions to carriers and handle preparation, processing, accuracy checks, and shipping procedures.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude in all interactions.
- Undertake additional tasks related to the position, as assigned from time to time.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- 3 years min of hands-on experience as a logistics coordinator or a similiar role.
- Thorough knowledge of the shipping and receiving processes.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask is crucial.
- Capability to coordinate and manage conflicting priorities, often under pressure.
- High level of motivation, maturity, and dependability.
- Fast learner with openness to feedback.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Strong team player with collaborative abilities.
**Additional Details:**
- **Location:** Halifax, NB- Work Remotely - Open to hiring outside of province as long as office hours of 8:30- 4:30 AST are mainted.
- **Office Hours:** 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with flexibility for extended coverage or on-call requirements.
- **Compensation:** Pay based on experience.
