Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repairs and maintenance, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to upsell services effectively. The Service Advisor will coordinate between customers and technicians to deliver quality service while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing accurate estimates and timelines
- Write detailed repair orders, ensuring all customer requests are documented accurately
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs and vehicle condition
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain detailed records of service history, customer interactions, and sales activities
- Assist in promoting dealership services, warranty programs, and special offers to enhance customer loyalty
Experience
- Prior experience in dealership service departments or automotive repair shops is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs is advantageous
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Experience in sales or upselling services to customers effectively
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes enhances ability to advise customers accurately

Pay: $38,652.17-$91,943.04 per year
