Position: Full-Time Lumberyard Associate
We are looking for reliable, hard-working individuals to join our team at Fines HHBC in Cornwall as a Lumberyard Associate. This is a physically active role ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, operates equipment safely, and takes pride in excellent customer service.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate forklifts and tractors to load and unload materials
- Assist customers with their orders – pulling lumber, building materials, and supplies
- Provide outstanding customer service, answering questions and helping locate products
- Perform general yard labour and maintenance
- Carry and deliver materials (including drywall) directly into customer homes or job sites as needed
- Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Work as part of a small, tight-knit team
Note: This position is labour-intensive and involves lifting, carrying, and physical work in all weather conditions. You will not be required to drive our delivery trucks.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a lumberyard, warehouse, or construction environment is a strong asset
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and tractors
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials (drywall, lumber, etc.)
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Positive attitude and good customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license is preferred
