Our Chiropody clinic is looking for a medical administrative assistant to join us in a parting/full-time medical administrator/receptionist role! If you have experience in any medical reception (walk-in, family practice, specialists office, etc.), and exceptional customer service skills, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver an exceptional experience to all patients as you greet them either in person or over the phone
- Handle various administrative responsibilities for front and back end responsibilities
- Perform light maintenance of reception area, staff lounge, and treatment rooms (i.e., restocking rooms, cleaning in between patients)
- Assist in our day to day operations and facilitate an excellent patient-centered patient experience
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival; ensure each visit runs as smoothly as possible
- Ensure efficient provider/team and patient scheduling
- Accountable for all patient financial arrangements/payment plans
- Organization and co-ordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency
- Actively seek out opportunities to improve our patients' experience in the clinic, while aiming to maximize clinic performance and growth
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Medical administration experience in a similar environment is an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology, kinesiology and anatomy an asset
- Able to maintain professional, positive, and calm under pressure
- Solid work ethic, impeccable organizational skills and an ability to manage competing priorities effectively while remaining efficient in your delivery
- Self starter, motivated by goals, and eager to wear multiple hats to be able to grow with us
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using a EMR is an asset
- Completion of any relevant post-secondary education is an asset
- Ability to work weekends and evenings when required based on business needs
- Chiropody or Kinesiology student an asset (but not required)
- Pay is negotiable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
