Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial framing, carpentry, and related construction tasks. This role involves working on diverse projects that require precision, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Candidates should be committed to quality workmanship and safety standards to contribute effectively to our projects.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute framing and carpentry tasks accurately
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as walls, floors, roofs, and frameworks using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and moving materials or structural components
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other materials with precision
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate project execution
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking techniques
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively on construction sites
- Strong knowledge of construction principles
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and cuts
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure project success
