Crew Member @ Brew & Bites X Lake of Bays Brewing Company (Part-time, contract)
Lake of Bays Brewing Company operates the Brews & Bites outlet in the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre (MLCC). The outlet provides quick bites and drinks for those enjoying events at the MLCC.
As a part-time Crew Member, you’ll work to deliver exceptional service for every guest, every time.
In this fast-paced role, you will also have the opportunity to support our retail locations as well as special events at all LOB locations!
What YOU will be doing:
- Preparing quick-service food and serving beverages
- Providing excellent customer service to our customers
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Working within our POS systems and handling monetary transactions with ease
- Working independently and as a team
- Handling customer complaints and unforeseen challenges
- Complete open and closing duties such as cash reconciliation, stocking, general maintenance and cleaning
What YOU bring to the table:
- Experience in the fast-paced food service industry
- Smart Serve and food safety certification required
- Previous experience working with Open Table, Silverware or other Point of Sale Programs is an asset
- Friendly, professional and engaging with a “can do” attitude
- A team player who looks for ways to support others
- Excellent verbal communication skills
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 15–20 hours/ week but could be expanded based on the Crew Member’s interest in working special events and supporting other LOB locations
- Must be able to reliably arrive at work location for all scheduled shifts
- Evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts are all part of the gig
- Extended periods of walking and standing
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
