Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Labourer / Metal Roofer to join our construction team.
Starting wage for new workers with some construction sense, pay increases with experience.
This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, focusing on metal roofing installation and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, carpentry, a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and teamwork. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing while contributing to high-quality building projects.
Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of metal roofs on various structures
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and measuring devices to perform roofing tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and durability of roofing systems
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and meet quality standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience with construction, carpentry, roofing
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper use in roofing applications
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing techniques is a plus
- Capable of heavy lifting and working at heights safely
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety compliance
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is advantageous
