JOB DESCRIPTION
A Grademan is responsible for all grades, levels, layouts and minor survey at the job site. Must be in good physical health and have the ability to hand expose when required. Will need to operate hand, power tools and a variety of other equipment, plus, participate in housekeeping duties to prepare, and maintain, a clean site. GPS rover and tablets knowledge on basic survey is an asset.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic earth works construction works knowledge.
- Be responsible and take care with regards to Surveying equipment operation and tools and inventory, care and maintenance.
- Perform reports based on activities developed on a daily basis to perform follow up on correct work execution.
- Be willing to develop any activities as requested by site Superintendent and/or Foreman in charge.
- Comply with all Company safety regulations, policies and procedures.
- Professionally interact with customers, obtain and process signed paperwork provided by customers.
- Read blueprints and grades.
REQUIREMENTS
- One to two years experience working in Excavation in Road Construction works is an asset.
- Experience with survey layout, grades, staking and surveys.
- Familiar with earth works.
- Working knowledge of methods, techniques and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Clean Driver's abstract.
- Math basic knowledge, comfortable with numbers.
- Knowledge of basic software operation (windows, excel, word and Survey Software).
- Multidisciplinary work.
- Be willing to develop job tasks as requested.
- Successful completion of a Drug and Alcohol test, as well as any additional required Pre-Access testing.
Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid A or C, 2015 WHIMS, TDG, CSTS, CSO, PCST and Ground Disturbance Level Il tickets considered a strong asset.
