Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Machinist Level 2+ to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and programming CNC mill, manual mill and lathes, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring precision in machining parts. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical understanding and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines, and other machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks and other CAD software
- Program CNC machines utilizing CNC programming skills to produce high-precision parts
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on machinery to maintain optimal performance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklift as needed for machine setup and material handling
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience CNC programming
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining processes
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD software preferred, and blueprint reading
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
- Experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and forklift operation
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices for continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
