Job Summary
Elevated Mathematics is looking to hire Mathematics, Science and ELA tutors with teaching experience in Grades 8 - 12.
Tutors will foster a positive learning environment with their students in small groups, providing personalized instruction by meeting students where they're at in their current studies.
Duties
- Deliver engaging tutoring sessions in Math, Science, and ELA tailored to each student’s learning style and level
- Adapt the 'Elevated Model of Learning' into their teachings with students while relying on their experience to deliver effective and efficient learning methods.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, writing skills, and comprehension strategies in the core subjects.
- No marking or prep work required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Math, Science, and English Language Arts curriculum standards
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Passion for education with excellent communication skills in English; additional language proficiency is desirable
