We are growing and are currently seeking a Junior Dispatcher to join our team TODAY.
Scope of Role:
The Junior Dispatch Coordinator plays a key support role within our Operations team. This position is responsible for order entry, tracking shipments, requesting and collecting PODs, following up on driver paperwork, and providing exceptional customer service to both drivers and customers.
This is a fast-paced, phone-intensive position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enter customer orders and load information accurately into Axon
- Track shipments and provide status updates to customers
- Request, collect, and organize PODs and supporting delivery documentation
- Follow up with drivers to obtain missing paperwork and required documents
- Communicate regularly with drivers regarding shipment updates and requirements
- Answer incoming customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Monitor loads and escalate service concerns or delays when required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within company systems
- Support dispatch and operations teams with daily administrative tasks
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and drivers
- Assist with freight coordination and load management as required
What You Bring:
- Minimum 1 year of dispatch experience within the trucking industry
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable spending a significant portion of the day on the phone
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Axon or a similar transportation management system is considered an asset
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience working with PODs, driver paperwork, and transportation documentation is considered an asset
