Data Migration & Mapping Specialist

Our client is looking for a skilled Data Migration & Mapping Specialist with over 3 years of project experience, particularly in data migration and data mapping. This role will be carried out remotely and requires collaboration with project teams to support innovative data integration initiatives.
Role Overview:
As a Data Migration & Mapping Specialist, you will be at the forefront of advancing our client's Enterprise Asset Management, Field Services, and Service Delivery systems. These systems face challenges due to outdated software and hardware, leading to increased security vulnerabilities and potential system failures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate migration of data through the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to identify, access, and extract database fields, ensuring documentation is accessible to both business users and technical teams.

Develop and maintain comprehensive data mapping documentation, distinguishing between user-entered and system-generated fields.

Analyze data field attributes and constraints, including documenting types, character limits, and validation rules.

Design reports using system data fields based on queries defined by project teams and SMEs.

Document system value lists and corresponding values to support mapping and validation activities.

Translate technical system configuration rules into clear, business-friendly process descriptions.

Support end-to-end data migration activities, including mapping, transformation, and validation.

Participate in integration and data testing, assisting in resolving data-related defects and discrepancies.
Skills and Experience:

Strong expertise in creating and running complex SQL and Oracle queries.

Experience creating detailed Data Mapping documentation.

Proven skills in migration and integration validation and testing.
