Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, blueprint reading, and quality control to ensure the production of high-quality components. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks and familiarity with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) are highly valued. The Machine Operator will play a critical role in maintaining efficient production workflows while adhering to safety standards and quality specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment.
- Set up machines using blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications.
- Program CNC equipment using CNC programming languages and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on machinery such as press brake machines and CNC equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product specifications are met.
- Operate forklifts when necessary for material handling within the warehouse or production area.
- Assist in assembly, packaging, or other related tasks as needed to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC programming skills.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks for interpreting drawings and designing parts.
- Experience with welding, blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate press brake machines and CNC equipment efficiently.
- Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, basic math skills for measurements, and quality control procedures.
- Warehouse experience is a plus for material handling tasks including forklift operation.
- Strong understanding of machining principles including machining techniques, assembly processes, and packaging standards.
