Sales Associate — Furniture

We're a small, independently owned furniture store with two Edmonton locations — and we take pride in giving our customers a genuinely great experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a warm personality, and the drive to grow with us.
About the role:
As a Sales Associate at Furniture Mart +, you'll be the face of our store — welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and helping them find furniture they'll love. This is a full-time position split between our north and south side Edmonton locations. Hours include evenings and weekends, with earnings made up of a competitive hourly base wage plus commission on sales.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting and engaging customers on the sales floor to understand their needs and guide them toward the right products
- Building genuine relationships with customers to drive sales and encourage repeat business
- Assisting with loading, moving, and handling furniture as needed (ability to lift and carry required)
- Creating and posting content on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, TikTok, and other social channels to drive traffic and increase sales
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day tasks and contributing wherever the business needs you
- Working across both our north and south Edmonton locations
What we're looking for
- A positive, energetic attitude — this matters more to us than a perfect résumé
- Personable, easy to talk to, and genuinely enjoys helping people
- A team player who's willing to pitch in wherever needed
- Comfortable lifting, carrying, and moving furniture
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Sales experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Experience with social media advertising (Facebook Marketplace, TikTok, etc.) is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work across both store locations
