The Lycée Français de Toronto is an educational institution with 520 students of 30 nationalities, from preschool to high school (Pre K-Gr 12), offering a French Ministry of Education curriculum up to the French Baccalaureate, with an American international option. It is part of a network of more than 520 French schools around the world affiliated with the Agency for French Education Abroad. This position reports directly to the Primary School Vice-Principal.
The nature of the role places the successful candidate in regular contact with the entire school community. The incumbent is expected to work in accordance with the operating principles of a French educational institution while also complying with Ontario regulations.
The school is accredited at all grade levels and prepares students for the French Baccalauréat.
Teaching English in accordance with the French programs in place, at the primary level.
Primary education is bilingual (French-English) with an American international section. Level groups in all elementary classes.
Educational and pedagogical follow-up of students.
Participation in the development and the implementation of school projects.
Participation in various educational meetings
OCT certification and membership in good standing with English language teaching experience preferred or other accreditations (CAPES, English Diploma, Master 1 ou 2 or licence, Baccalaureat in Education)
English language teaching experience preferred.
Highly adaptable and able to work in a demanding multicultural environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, both in the workplace and in the community, with parents quite involved in their child's education.
Ability to develop educational projects or contribute to school projects.
Given our student population, location in an English-speaking province and the bilingual nature of our primary education, the candidate will have to adapt to classes which, while having a very good level, are also very diverse. While some pupils are native or near-native speakers, others come from different establishments and have school-level English.
Good knowledge and command of Google suite, the classroom and smart boards.
Excellent communication skills with students, parents and administrators.
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including the equivalent of 18 in-class teaching hours

Salary based on experience and classification (certified / non-certified): $48,425 - $94,411 CAD.
Non-Canadian candidates must hold a work permit allowing them to teach.
