Transport Car‑Fre Ltd. is looking for an experienced Diesel Engine Rebuild Mechanic to support our fleet maintenance team on a part‑time basis. This role focuses on engine tear‑downs, rebuilds, and component restoration for our heavy‑duty trucks.
Responsibilities
- Rebuild and overhaul diesel engines and major components
- Diagnose internal engine failures and recommend repair solutions
- Perform tear‑downs, cleaning, machining prep, and reassembly
- Inspect and replace pistons, bearings, injectors, seals, gaskets, and related parts
- Test rebuilt engines for performance and reliability
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
Requirements
- 3+ years experience rebuilding diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, etc.)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Own basic tools; specialty tools provided
- Journeyman or equivalent experience preferred
Schedule & Compensation
- Part‑time hours (flexible scheduling available)
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
