Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Herbicide Applicators & Assistances to join our field maintenance team. Candidates must be local to Grande Prairie area. This role involves applying herbicides to various industrial and forestry areas. To do well in this roll candidates should have good understanding of safety procedures and general oilfield practices, physically fit and reliable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Application of various herbicides/pesticides
- Assist with the preparation and mixing of herbicides according to safety protocols and manufacturer instructions
- Use hand tools for land clearing, weed removal, and minor repairs around site
- Apply herbicides accurately across designated areas, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards
- Support the team with general tasks, including equipment setup, cleanup, and material transportation
- Complete daily paperwork and maintain detailed records of herbicide applications, equipment maintenance, and land conditions
Requirements:
- Prior experience would be considered and asset
- First Aid & H2S certificate
- Valid Drivers license with reliable transportation to and from Shop.
- Basic knowledge of herbicide types, safety procedures, and environmental considerations is a plus
- Ability to work alone or with crews
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are highly valued.
- Candidates should be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while adhering to safety standards.
Competitive wages based off experience and performance. This position is currently season however there may be opportunity to continue with Redneks.
