Viva Health Pharmacy is a busy, multilingual community pharmacy seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant who can take ownership of dispensary workflow from day one. This is a role for someone who already knows the work, moves accurately under volume, and needs minimal ramp-up. Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $20 to $24 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated capability, with performance incentives and professional development opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day prescription intake, data entry, processing, and preparation under pharmacist direction
- Adjudicate third-party billing accurately, including ODB and private insurance, and resolve rejections independently
- Prepare compliance and blister packaging and support medication adherence programs
- Manage dispensary and front-shop inventory end to end: ordering, receiving, restocking, and expiry control
- Coordinate prescription pick-up, drop-off, refill follow-up, and delivery logistics
- Deliver professional, compassionate patient service in person and by phone
- Maintain accurate patient records and keep workflow moving in a high-volume setting
What You Bring (Required)
- Minimum 3 years as a Pharmacy Assistant in a community pharmacy
- Hands-on proficiency with Kroll
- Working command of third-party billing, ODB, and private insurance adjudication
- Direct experience with compliance and blister packaging
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail under sustained volume
- Strong English communication, written and verbal
- Spoken Farsi (Persian)
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Considered an Asset
- Inventory management, ordering, and expiry-tracking experience
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems beyond Kroll
- Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations
