Price's Lock & Safe has been proudly providing courteous, professional service and quality products throughout Vancouver Island since 1895. We are Western Canada’s oldest locksmith shop and now have six locations throughout Vancouver Island.
We are hiring qualified locksmith/service technicians for our Victoria and Duncan locations. We are looking for someone who is a team player to join our team. You will need the ability to lift 50 pounds, have good dexterity, good written and reading skills, pass security clearance, and have a driver’s license.
Must be able to install:
- Fresh deadbolt
- Electric strikes
- Mortise cassette locks
- Door closers
- Handicap operators
- Exit devices
- Rekey locks and cylinders of all common manufacturers
Requires knowledge of:
- Keying and master key systems
- Residential high security systems
- Low voltage AC/DC
- Maintaining customer/client relations
- Repair and maintenance of safe bolt works, combination locks
- Working knowledge of combination lock manipulation and drilling
Must be able to rotate 1 week of overtime. Position offers company medical plan and company bonuses after probation.
Job Overview:
- Full-time weekday, daytime work
- Occasional after-hours emergency service calls on a rotating schedule
Compensation:
Wage will be determined based on applicant’s skills and work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Price’s Lock & Safe’s professional image as a knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful front-line employee
- Performing various locksmith duties including, but not limited to, opening locked doors, re-keying locks, key cutting, servicing & adjusting locks and other product for repair/replacement
- Attending service calls for jobs involving door closers, electric release mechanisms, panic bars, astragal plates, locks, safes, and various other types of hardware
- Installation of deadbolts, doorknobs, key control systems, and keyless entry locks
Experience & Qualifications
- Be able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Own and be comfortable using various hand tools to perform maintenance and repairs
- Have a strong problem-solving aptitude
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills
- Must be bondable and have a clean criminal record
- Must be able to obtain a Security Worker’s License
- 2-5 years’ locksmith/safe/electronics technician experience at a minimum
- Punctual and reliable

- High school or equivalent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
