Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Floor Cleaning Specialist to maintain the cleanliness and safety of commercial and facility spaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work, facilities maintenance, and be proficient with various cleaning tools and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe environment while developing skills in commercial cleaning and facilities upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using hand tools, power tools, and specialized cleaning equipment to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
- Utilize custodial experience to operate cleaning machines, extractors, and other power tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, light carpentry, or equipment upkeep as needed.
- Apply knowledge of commercial cleaning standards to sanitize restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, and other high-traffic areas.
- Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes.
- Use heavy lifting techniques when moving furniture or equipment during cleaning or maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure expectations are met and issues are promptly addressed.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring client spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming.
Requirements
- Prior custodial or custodial-related experience in commercial or facility environments preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment required.
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds).
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
Pay: $200.00 per month
