Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a journeyman certified electrician, however, with the right experience and knowledge, we would consider a 3rd or 4th year apprentice electrician.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation and upgrades, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to keep operations running smoothly. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately install or repair electrical systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential or commercial environments.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
- Work with low voltage systems such as alarms, communication lines, or programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems during renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques; perform repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate project timelines and ensure quality workmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in commercial & residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical codes/regulations.
- Ability to perform renovation work on existing electrical infrastructure efficiently.
- Basic handyman skills are essential for versatile troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Valid electrician license or apprenticeship certification
- Valid Drivers license
- Own source of Transportation; A company vehicle will be discussed with the right candidate.
