Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to oversee our daily frozen pierogi operations at our location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining excellent customer service. The Lead Hand will play a vital role in supporting management and ensuring smooth operations on daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily food preparation to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Oversee food handling and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage POS systems, including Micros POS and cash handling responsibilities.
- Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on food service
- Assist in interviewing and onboarding new staff members to build a skilled and efficient team.
- Support management with scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols across the kitchen
- Handle customer inquiries
- Work side by side with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment conducive to efficient operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles.
- Supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant management is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Proficiency with POS system; cash handling experience is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with food production operations (big volumes), including interviewing new staff and managing schedules.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to motivate team members and foster a positive work environment. Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
